Testing and Advice
Using the very latest equipment we can perform all aspects of audiological testing for our clients. A full assessment of your hearing is integral to being able to recommend solutions for a successful outcome. Testing would include:
- Otoscopy whereby we view and take photographic images of the ear and ear canal.
- Pure tone and bone conduction audiometry to ensure correct levels of hearing\loss are recorded.
- Impedance testing or Tympanometry to measure the functions of the middle ear and rule out middle ear pathology concerns.
- Speech discrimination testing to collaborate hearing loss and ensure words are heard as they are meant to be heard. Also used to confirm amplification will be beneficial for better understanding of speech.

Wax\cerumen removal is available using the most up to date processes and equipment. Full training and certification of all types of wax\cerumen removal have been undertaken. Whether it be through irrigation, curettes or micro suction we can remove wax easily and in most instances on the same day without the need for prior preparation.

Solutions for musicians or those who work in noisy environments and cannot always manage traditional ear protection. Custom Ear Protection involves taking an impression of the ears and having it manufactured into a comfortable custom earpiece which is both more comfortable and better suited to protection of the ears from noise. Many styles and options are available.

Whilst the clinic is open daily Monday to Friday and Saturdays by appointment, we also offer Home and Mobile Visits for those who cannot get out as easily. Our audiology equipment is portable meaning that all services can be performed remotely. **These appointments are arranged and discussed by calling the clinic and may incur a small surcharge depending on distance.
